Maintenance Technician

A Day at Work

As a maintenance technician, you are the one who quickly steps in when production stops. You are the first contact between production and maintenance during downtime and disturbances. Your primary task is to troubleshoot and resolve issues that halt production – quickly, safely, and with high quality. You ensure that the machines are up and running again and that the work is documented for future learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting risk assessments and taking safety measures before starting work.
• Collaborating with production during troubleshooting and repairs to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Ensuring that completed repairs are of high quality and that the equipment is handed over in a safe condition.
• Prioritizing urgent jobs in consultation with your immediate supervisor.
• Documenting completed work clearly to create a knowledge base.
• Creating follow-up orders where the root cause is not identified.
• Escalating issues when you lack knowledge or resources to solve the problem safely.

In short – you are a key person for ensuring that production continues without unnecessary stops.

The working hours are arranged in a 12-hour shift schedule with alternating work and off weeks.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have at least a high school education in automation, electrical engineering, control technology, or similar, and preferably a few years of experience in maintenance work within the industry. Experience in troubleshooting and knowledge of PLC systems is an extra merit. The role requires good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and a driver's license (B) is a requirement.
